CINCINNATI — Dr. Amy Acton, the former director of the Ohio Department of Health, is among the names in the rumor mill for the U.S. Senate seat of Republican Rob Portman.
Sen. Portman, 65, said Monday he won’t seek reelection in 2022 and plans to end a career in federal government spanning more than three decades.
There will be no shortage of interest in his seat, with both Democratic and Republican leaders discussing their options this week.
