The Bulldog report is in receipt of a letter sent from Duke Energy to the tenants of the Carew Tower Building in downtown Cincinnati indicating electric service will be disconnected Feb. 10.

Greg Power, CEO of Belvedere Corp., confirmed that this has been a challenging time for the property, especially for the hotel.

“There won’t be any disconnection happening,” Power said. “We have been paying them a lot of money and sometimes businesses have issues.”

The letter to tenants indicates the utility does not anticipate a favorable outcome to avoid disconnection of utility services.

Power, however, said the company has been working through it’s issues with the utility to get the matter resolved and avoid the disconnection.
