Kentucky unemployment system mired in claims backlog, communication confusion


Some people who lost work because of pandemic wait months for payments

COVINGTON, Ky. — Dave Reeves of Covington is one of countless Kentucky residents disappointed with the state’s unemployment system.

“When I filed for employment I was told that I was approved. But I didn’t receive any payments for four months,” Reeves said.
