Nadler denies Gaetz’s request to start committee meetings with Pledge of Allegiance

A request by Rep. Matt Gaetz on Thursday to begin each House Judiciary Committee with the Pledge of Allegiance was shot down by Chairman Jerrold Nadler.

Nadler, in his rejection, pointed out that the House already recites the pledge at the beginning of each day in session.
