Poll: Just 16 percent say democracy working well in US

Fewer than 1 in 5 Americans perceive democracy in the country is working “well” or “extremely well,” according to polling released on Monday.

The survey from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research found that only 16 percent of Americans surveyed believe democracy is working extremely well or well in the U.S., while 38 percent said it is only working somewhat well and 45 percent said…
