A winter storm will spread freezing rain, sleet and snow from Texas to the mid-Atlantic through early Friday, creating hazardous travel conditions while also potentially damaging trees and knocking out power in some areas.
This latest storm has already caused its share of travel headaches.
A pair of fatal vehicle accidents occurred Wednesday morning on roads slickened by freezing drizzle in western Kentucky.
