Kentucky childcare providers moved up to Phase 1B, can get vaccinated now

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Child care providers in Kentucky can now begin signing up to receive COVID-19 vaccines.

The update was announced by Gov. Andy Beshear during his briefing Monday, a decision that was made after his administration received some push back from the childcare providers around the state about when they could get their shots.

Initially, childcare providers were lumped into Phase 1c along with other essential workers. The issue is that it’s unclear which essential workers will be allowed to go first. Some…
