A researcher at Stanford University has been indicted on charges of lying and destroying evidence of her status as a member of the Chinese military.
Song Chen, a 39-year-old visiting medical researcher at the university, was charged last July over allegedly lying on a visa application about her membership in the People’s Liberation Army (PLA).
