CINCINNATI —For some, it’s a long-awaited season. Others hope the day never comes.
But, without fail, every 17 years, cicadas arrive.
For the past 17 years, this brood — known as Brood X — of cicada has been nestled under the surface waiting to appear. In about two months, billions of them will be all around Southwest Ohio.
