Thomas More defeats Morningside, 65-62; advances to NAIA National Championship

Top-ranked and top-seeded Thomas More University advanced to the NAIA Women’s Basketball National Championship game (Thomas More Athletics)

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (WKRC) – Top-ranked and top-seeded Thomas More University advanced to the NAIA Women’s Basketball National Championship game as it defeated seventh-ranked and fifth-seeded Morningside College, 65-62, Monday in a national semifinal game at the Tyson Event Center in Sioux City, Iowa.

The Saints trailed 53-51 with 9:48 to play in the game but graduate forward Alexah Chrisman made a lay-up with 1:18 left to cap a 14-6 to give Thomas More a 65-59 lead.
