Biden To raise minimum wage for 700K federal contract workers from $10.95 to $15 in new executive order

President Joe Biden will sign and executive order on Tuesday that will raise the minimum wage for federal contract workers to $15 per hour



Joe Biden will sign an executive order Tuesday raising the minimum wage for federal contractors to $15 per hour – furthering the administration’s push to increase the national minimum wage for the first time in more than a decade.

The current minimum wage for government contract workers is $10.95, making the new amount a nearly 37% raise. The order will require the minimum wage be raised by March of next year and includes future increases based on inflation.
