Top House Republican Says to Expect Vote on Ousting Cheney Wednesday



House Republican leader Kevin McCarthy told his Republican colleagues to expect a vote on Wednesday on removing Representative Liz Cheney from her leadership post, according to a letter posted to Twitter on Monday by a reporter for Punchbowl News.

Cheney is under fire from members of her own party for openly disputing former President Trump’s longstanding assertion that he lost the 2020 election to Joe Biden as a result of widespread voter fraud.
