Joe Deters ‘declares war’ on illegal guns

CINCINNATI — In response to a violent holiday weekend in Cincinnati, Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters said he is declaring a war on illegal guns in the city of Cincinnati.
Deters said he has directed all assistant prosecutors in his office that, effective immediately, there will be zero plea-bargaining on any cases involving gun violence, or possession of illegal guns.
“It’s time for this nonsense to end,” the prosecutor said in part on social media.
