The US is negotiating with the Taliban to get Americans still in Kabul to safety but it’s still unclear how many US citizens are still on the ground, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said in a press conference Tuesday.
‘Our commanders at the airport are in communication with Taliban commanders on the ground outside the airport,’ Kirby confirmed.
