Vaccination mandate: Ohio’s short-staffed nursing homes brace for worsening situation

Ohio’s short-staffed nursing homes have braced for a worsening situation. They fear the unintended consequence of a staff exodus as a result of President Joe Biden’s decision to tie vaccination to future funding.

“If you work in a nursing home and serve people on Medicare or Medicaid, you’ll also be required to get vaccinated,” Biden said on Wednesday.

We’re told there was instant panic and extreme angst among Ohio’s long-term care facilities which are already in the throes of a staffing shortage.
