DENIES Evacuation End In 36 HOURS

Pentagon spokesman John Kirby has denied reports the US will withdraw entirely from Afghanistan in the next 26 hours, insisting troops will stay ‘until the end of the mission’ without saying when that will be, despite an increasingly tense situation on the ground.
The situation on the ground in Kabul is growing increasingly tense for those who remain as Western countries wind down their evacuation missions. On Thursday, the US told citizens to stop arriving at the airport after a bomb threat from ISIS-K to the crowds on the ground.
