Swarms of people descended on America’s airports and roads Wednesday heading to visit family members for Thanksgiving – in many cases, for the first time since the pandemic began.

Wednesday is gearing up to be the busiest day for travel in the country: The Transportation Security Administration expects 20 million people to pass through airport checkpoints throughout the country through Sunday.
