Dre Davis came in expecting Kenny Payne 101.

When Davis arrived at the KFC Yum Center last Friday — a Louisville men’s basketball player about to meet for the first time with the program’s new coach — he expected Payne to break the ice with a breakdown of his approach, an introduction to how the new guy would run his program.
