Airline disruptions rise Friday after second-worst day for cancellations in the last month

US flight cancellations rose to 1,248 on Thursday down from the record of just over 1,303 within the last month

Flight disruptions rising Friday just after airline passengers faced one of the worst days for flight cancellations in the past month, according to FlightAware.

As of 11:30 a.m. Friday, there were already over 2,300 delayed flights in, out of and across the U.S. and more than 900 cancellations, according to data from the flight tracking website. FlightAware provides live flight delay and cancellation statistics.
