Donald Trump showed concern for Joe Biden and even made a joke about himself when he learned the president had fallen again while on stage at the Air Force Academy.
‘He actually fell down?’ Well I hope he wasn’t hurt,’ the former president said on the campaign trail in Iowa when told about the 80-year-old’s tumble.
Images of Biden being helped back up after his trip will spark more concerns about his age and health during his second run for president.
‘The whole thing is crazy. You’ve got to be careful about that. Even if you have to tiptoe down a ramp,’ Trump added.
Trump was referencing the moment he left the stage at the West Point military academy three years ago, and appeared to gingerly shuffle down the ramp.

The commander-in-chief stumbled and fell to his knees, and then had to be helped back up during the graduation ceremony in an incident likely to spark more concerns about his age as the nation’s oldest president seeks a second term
During the speech in June 2020, Trump used two hands to sip from a glass of water and took what appeared to be ‘baby steps’ while walking away.
‘The ramp that I descended after my West Point Commencement speech was very long & steep, had no handrail and, most importantly, was very slippery,’ Trump said in a tweet in the aftermath.
It raised similar questions and concerns about his health that Biden is facing after his latest incident.
The commander-in-chief stumbled and fell to his knees, and then had to be helped back up during the graduation ceremony.
It was the latest of several incidents where the president briefly lost his balance, although in this case it brought him down.
After the fall, the president then walked away without help. The White House later pointed the finger at a black sandbag that could be seen near the podium where Biden delivered the commencement address.
‘He’s fine,’ White House Communications Director Ben LaBolt tweeted shortly after the incident. ‘There was a sandbag on stage while he was shaking hands.’
